Exact pixels, a percentage, or fit inside a box. Presets for every platform, batch for whole folders, and nothing leaves your computer.
Resamples the image to the size you ask for using the browser’s own scaler, stepping down in halves for big reductions so edges stay crisp, then saves it in the format you pick. Making a photo smaller is safe. Making it more than about twice as large will look soft, so run Sharpen afterwards.
A 4032 × 3024 phone photo (3.1 MB) resized to 1600 wide at JPEG quality 86 comes out at 1600 × 1200 and about 410 KB: small enough for email, still sharp on a 27-inch screen. The same photo as WebP at quality 86 is about 290 KB.
Use Resize when the picture is too big for where it is going: email, a website, a slide, a form that limits file size. If the picture is the right size but the file is still large, use Image Compressor instead. If you need an exact shape (a square for Instagram, a 16:9 header), use Crop first, then resize.
Fit in box shrinks the image until it fits inside the width and height you give, without cropping; turn on Pad to exact size if the file must be exactly that size. Long side sets only the longer edge, which keeps a mixed folder of portrait and landscape photos consistent. Never enlarge leaves anything already smaller than the target alone. WebP and AVIF are much smaller than JPEG at the same quality but some older apps cannot open them; pick JPEG when in doubt. Pixel art resampling keeps hard edges when scaling up icons and sprites.
Does the photo get uploaded? No. The whole job runs inside your browser tab. You can turn Wi-Fi off after the page loads and it still works.
Why is my resized file bigger than the original? The original was probably a heavily compressed JPEG. Lower the quality slider, or choose WebP.
Where did the camera info go? Redrawing the pixels drops EXIF data (date, camera, GPS). That is usually what you want when sharing; keep the original if you need it.
Can I do a whole folder? Yes. Turn on Batch mode or drop several files; every file gets the same settings and you download one ZIP.
