Spin every colour around the wheel by any angle. Turn a red car blue, a green lawn gold or a whole batch of product shots into a new colourway.
Every colour sits at an angle on a 360° wheel: red at 0°, yellow at 60°, green at 120°, cyan at 180°, blue at 240°, magenta at 300°. This tool adds the angle you choose to every pixel, keeping its saturation and lightness exactly as they were. Rotate by 120° and reds become greens, greens become blues and blues become reds, all with the same brightness and intensity they had before. The colour bar under the slider shows which way things move.
A 2000 × 2000 product photo of a red backpack on a white background: rotating by 240° turns the bag blue while the white background and the black zips stay untouched, giving a second colourway for a listing without a reshoot. Rotating the same photo by 60° gives a yellow bag, and 120° a green one. Drop all three variations into batch mode later with Colorize or Change Saturation to match the exact shade.
Use it to recolour objects on neutral backgrounds, to fix a colour cast that is off in one direction, or to try alternative palettes for a graphic. It is not the tool for a general warm or cool look, because it rotates rather than tints; for that use Colorize Image. If you need to change saturation or brightness at the same time, Adjust HSL has all three sliders. For photos with mixed colours where only one object should change, pair this with Color Splash.
Rotate is the angle in degrees; 0 and 360 are the same, no change. The chips jump to the six primary and secondary positions plus a 30° warm shift. Grey, white and black pixels do not move at all, and weakly coloured pixels move only slightly, which is why a rotation on a portrait tints the background more than the face. Output Same keeps the original file type.
How do I change just one colour, like the red shirt to blue? A hue rotation moves every colour by the same angle, so the sky shifts along with the shirt. Rotate until the shirt is right, then, if the rest of the photo looks wrong, use Color Splash to keep only the recoloured object and restore the original elsewhere.
Why do white, grey and black areas stay the same? Those pixels have no hue to rotate; their red, green and blue values are equal. Skin, wood and pastel colours have a weak hue and shift subtly, while strong colours swing all the way.
What does 180° do? It maps every colour to its complement: red becomes cyan, blue becomes yellow, green becomes magenta. It is the colour part of a negative without the brightness flip. Invert Image Colors does the full negative.
Are my pictures uploaded? No. The hue maths runs in your browser on your device. Nothing leaves your computer.
